It offers a variety of merchandise including , women's clothing, lingerie, swimwear, footwear, fragrances and beauty products fragrances, and evening wear .It also sells products on line. The store laid out applied to Paco Underhill’s strategies the “Decompression zone”. This store had a very large clear space at the entrance. By the middle it displayed in a very particular way the lingerie products, it was in this nice round wood drawers.The store displays the lingerie in a very fancy delicate as well as it did with its wide aisles(butt -brush) . There were table petting as well. Petting also applied to the makeup and the fragrances .
In general this store meets all the Paco Underhill criteria with the” decompression zone”, “Butt Brush” and “petting”. This store had a lot space between the aisles and it was easy for people to walk by between each section. As women enter the store they could also see the products organized and clear.
The way it laid out its products was very thoughtful of women. With the wood drawers and the big wide aisles. The way the store is design it makes you feels confident to buy lingerie, this act of buying can sometimes be a little uncomfortable for many women but Victoria’s secret has manage to change this by displaying its products in a way women usually placed their lingerie at home. As women walked into the store it was noticeable that they took time to see the lingerie wood drawer that was placed in the middle aisle which also had a big promotional display on top. Could this be a good strategy maybe it was since the fragrance section is on the left side and to distract women from just going to that specific section first they displayed this large square wood drawer of lingerie .Also the bra section is next to the middle aisle. As you walk inside the store you could see clothing folded on tables. The registers are located close to the back of the sore.
